The Westfield Shopping Town Mall in Skokie, Illinois, has been a part of the shopping scene since 1956. They purchased the mall from Simon Property Group Incorporated after being an independent property holder for over 30 years. Four anchor stores make up this plush outdoor destination: Bloomingdales – Nordstrom Departments store, Macy’s Books, and Barnes & Noble.
Westfield Old Orchard is a shopping complex that has been around since 1956. It first opened with Marshall Field and Company, then Saks Fifth Avenue in 1964 – they were later renamed to Montgomery Ward when this store moved away from their location on State Street (which now houses Lord & Taylor). In 1978 two parking structures were built next door; one was called “The North Garage,” which can hold 1500 vehicles while another named ‘Westgarage’ holds 2600 cars.
From 2004-to 2006, Toms Price Furniture opened its doors to guests. 2005 was also the first time Foot Locker and ColdStone Creamery joined our mall to create an exciting new experience for shoppers. That same year Saks Fifth Avenue closed down – but not without giving us one last thrill before it disappeared forever: they demolished their building so we could have a smaller footprint here at Park negotiating what’s coming next.
