Spring Valley

Spring Valley is a beautiful, serene place in Schaumburg, Illinois. The 135 acres are home to diverse landscapes that include wetlands and streams as well as forested areas with prairie scattered throughout it.

In addition to the Bison’s Bluff Nature Playground, many other sub attractions make Spring Valley a major target for visitors throughout any given year. These include Volkening Heritage Farm and Vera Meineke Nature Center. These two museums offer an interesting look into local history with their interactive displays about farming practices in this area as well as natural habitats from all over our planet.

Head out to the Volkening Heritage Farm in Schaumburg for an experience like no other. Here, you can view various exhibits and participate in farming activities with your children while witnessing gregarious wildlife at Vera Meineke Nature Center as well.

When you visit the farm in Spring Valley, be sure to check out all of our other activities that take place while it’s closed from December until March. They don’t charge an entrance fee, but if your group wants to access them, they’ll need to pay for them separately with money or points at each activity.
