The Danada Forest Preserve is a beautiful 797-acre tract of land that features both prairies and woods as well lakes, rivers, and streams. There’s plenty to do here. You can go hiking on their many trails, which pass through pristine natural areas alongside deer hunting grounds if you’re feeling adventurous (or not). Other activities include fishing in one of its waters, where they also offer picnicking spots, so everyone has fun while they are visiting them at Danada Equestrian Center.
This is an area of natural beauty where you can find egrets, woodcocks, and painted turtles, among other animals. This complex on the west side of Naperville Road supports many species that live there as well.
The Danada equestrian center, located in Wheaton, Illinois area, has become one more reason why residents love going out there in their day-to-day lives as they can enjoy seeing these beautiful creatures up close without having any worries about getting too close because you never know how things might suddenly change when our own backyard becomes home base instead.
The north side of the preserve is home to a 35-acre restored prairie that annually fills with flowers each summer. This area attracts bobolinks, grasshopper sparrows, and American goldfinches as well ground squirrels, voles, weasels, deer, coyotes, and many more animals.
The nature lover’s paradise is only the beginning of Parson’s Grove- this open woodland in the southeast corner has wild geraniums, trout lilies, and shooting stars blooming each spring with other native flowers like bloodroot toothwort or trillium.
Hikers, bikers, and horseback riders will enjoy 3 miles of scenic trails that wind through prairie land as well as woodland and marsh. To avoid less-visible user groups such as walkers or cyclists should restrain their mounts when entering forested areas, so they don’t scare them into running off the path. The Nature Trail at Danada Equestrian Center is a beautiful footpath that takes you through Parson’s Grove.
This equestrian center has some great places to relax and enjoy nature. The picnic tables near the main barn, fire circle as well as parking lot make it easy for you to visit with friends or family while enjoying this beautiful view of the area.
