Bode Lake is a 20-acre lake that’s popular for swimming and fishing. The water depth varies depending on where you are in the park, but it can range from about 23 feet at its deepest point.
Bode Lake is home to some of the most sought-after fishing spots in all of Illinois. Anglers can expect a variety of catches, including Bluegill, Channel Catfish, and Largemouth Bass, but it’s best known for its large population north shoreline, with White Crappie present as well.
The beautiful scenery of Bode Lake has made it a popular destination for visitors from near and far. The general amenities here provide you with restrooms and pets allowed on leash (with restrictions) as well an ample supply of rental equipment if needed. There are also trash cans available at the park so that all your waste goes where it’s supposed to go–inland, not out into our environment, which can be harmful due to globalization today.
Remember to hike on its trail when you visit Bode Lake. This 10+ mile trail through a park-like setting will leave you feeling rejuvenated and ready for anything. You can substitute any type of cardio workout with your favorite activity, such as hiking or running/jogging along its paths, while also enjoying scenic views that are sure not to disappoint.
Situated at E Bode Rd, east of Bartlett Rd, Hoffman Estates, IL 60107, Bode Lake is a beautiful water body near Streamwood that holds an interesting secret. The most common species caught here are largemouth bass, common carp, and black crappie, but there are plenty more to be challenged by.
